Directions…… approx 42 miles from York -1 hour minimum
On busy Friday nights you will get stuck in a traffic jam at the Hopgrove. It is sometimes better to go through Strensall and join the A64 at Flaxton.
From York take the A64 to towards Malton /Scarborough.
After the Malton By pass take the A169 exit to Pickering Whitby -past Eden Camp.
At Pickering turn left at the roundabout. Continue straight across at the lights towards Kirbymoorside. After 1 mile go through Aislaby and turn right off main road (signposted Cropton, Hartoft, Rosedale) Continue through Wrelton to Cropton. Follow road through Cropton signposted Rosedale. After 5 miles reach Rosedale Abbey – stay on same road through village signposted Castleton. After 1 mile go past Bell End Farm on your right –continue up hill (not far ) then fork left signposted Rosedale East ( easy to miss turn on brow of hill- you will see a few B and B signs etc )
After 1/2 mile go past row of cottages on right then up hill to row of cottages on both sides. No 2 is second cottage on left. Park in the space at the rear of the house next to wheelie bins. Use the back door Our Garden is on other side of back lane – number 2 on gate.
